The new Admin Area Tour

Some key features of our updated admin area- check them out.

Engaging New Panel Members

You work hard to get new people to join your music team, but often times we see clients who are not immediately engaging with those new enrollees. They sign up, but then may not hear from you for weeks until the next survey, and they may forget about you entirely.

Here are two ways you can engage right away and get new people excited about your music team!

Create an immediate auto-reply in Songscore, so all of your new signups get an immediate welcome to the team.

To do this, go into your mailing list or lists (you’ll need one for each list that is being used to add new users from a webform or your  songscore home page). Clic k on Autoresponders at the top right:

Next, fill in the required information and create a nicely worded letter for them to receive. You may want to use a designed template to enhance your presentation:

Save this autoresponder and it will start working immediately! Now, on to tip #2:

Set up an evergreen survey for new panelists.

See the sample letter above? It mentions a short “starter” survey for new panelists to take. This accomplishes several things. First, it gets them involved immediately. Second, it acts as a training session before they take a current survey. Third, you might actually get some useful data!

Pick 10 power golds or all-time greats for the survey. They should be ultra-familiar, making it easy for the first-time participant. Set the end date as something far-off, like 10 years from now. Finally, make the sure these 10 cuts are PRIVATE UPLOADS so they are not archived sometime down the road.

For higher engagement, offer a prize once a month to someone that is NEW to the team, so they feel like they are really valued.

Now that your new signups are appreciated and given a practice run, they are much more likely to participate in future serveys!

Trending with mean scores

We continue to improve Songscore based on your feedback. One of our new improvements is the inclusion of the mean score in trends. This allows you to not only see how a song is trendind across multiple tests, but also the mean score for each test.

Without mean score, your trending scores are not as meaningful. Since each survey has it’s own inque universe of people with their own unique mean score, you really need to know how a song scores relative to mean in each test. Whereas a song could look good scoring a 3.5 then a 3.7 and then a 4.1, it may not tell the whole story. What if the mean scores for those 3 surveys were 3.4, 3.9 and 4.0? That song does not look as good as it did before did it?

Our new trend page now gives you the overall score followed by the mean score for that survey. To calculate a trend with mean score, you simply look at it as +/- the mean. So a song might trend +.10, -.05 and +.15. Seeing how it score relative to mean gives you a broader picture of how it is doing across unique panels and against other songs.

We hope this helps you as you strive to give your audience the best playlist.

Creating Follow-Up lists with autologin

Thanks to a user request, we’ve now added the ability to export the users who have NOT yet taken a test! It makes it easier to create a follow-up list and send out reminders, with or without the auto-login ID.
